Manifest

The Autopilot, Copilot, Never Manifest

Envirt's public commitment on what it does, what it drafts, and what it refuses to do.

In 2026, the AI finance category split into two camps. One side promises autonomous AI CFOs that trade your money, file your taxes, and run your business while you sleep. The other side — our side — believes that an AI helping a founder with their finances should be exactly as autonomous as a junior analyst on day one: capable, watchful, drafting good work, and asking before it acts. This page is the rule book. We have published it openly so you can hold us to it. Every feature in Envirt maps to one of three modes. Nothing escapes the table.

ENVIRT DOES THE BORING WORK. DRAFTS THE IMPORTANT WORK. REFUSES THE DANGEROUS WORK.

Envirt does the boring work. Drafts the important work. Refuses the dangerous work. You stay in charge of every decision that matters.

Autopilot

Envirt does this without asking

  • Detect failed Stripe payments

  • Categorise your transactions

  • Calculate runway, burn, MRR, churn

  • Generate your Monday Brief

  • Flag anomalies and vendor price hikes

  • Build draft financial models

  • Calculate quarterly tax estimates

  • Watch deadlines and remind you

Why every Never is a Never

Trading & money movement

Envirt will never execute trades — not on Alpaca, not on Robinhood, not on any market, not for any customer, not even if you run a trading business. The risks compound badly: a single misread instruction, a single corrupt price feed, a single API hiccup, and a founder loses real capital. Some financial decisions belong to humans, even when an AI could technically do them faster. Trading is one of them.

Tax filing

Envirt will never file a tax return on your behalf — not GST in India, not VAT in the EU, not corporation tax anywhere. We will calculate your estimates, watch your deadlines, prep your binder, and tell you exactly how a jurisdiction works. The act of filing — putting your name on a legal document submitted to a government — stays with you and your accountant. Always.

Legally binding actions

Signing contracts, negotiating with vendors directly, making hiring or firing decisions, paying bills without approval — these are not autopilot territory and they are not even copilot territory at Envirt. Strategic and legally binding actions belong to you. We help you think through them. We never make them for you.

How Copilot actually works

Every Copilot action follows the same four-step rhythm. There are no shortcuts and no hidden states.

  1. Step 1 — Detect

Envirt sees something worth acting on — a failed payment, an overdue invoice, a missing investor update.

  2. Step 2 — Draft

Envirt writes the email, builds the deck, or drafts the message — in your voice, calibrated to your jurisdiction, ready for review.

  3. Step 3 — Show you

Nothing is sent. Nothing is acted on. The draft sits in your dashboard waiting for you.

  4. Step 4 — You decide

Approve, edit, send via Gmail, send via Envirt, copy to clipboard, or discard. Your call. Always.

If we ever break this manifest

The Never list is permanent. We will not move items from Never to Copilot or Autopilot. If the product ever evolves to require an exception, we will publish a separate manifest with a new domain and a new product — not silently extend Envirt into a category we publicly committed against. Items can move from Copilot to Autopilot only when three conditions are met: the action is fully reversible, the action is observable in real time, and at least 1,000 customers have used the Copilot version successfully. Movement from Autopilot to Copilot can happen at any time and never requires justification — we will always err toward putting the founder in the driver's seat.
